Meet Your Casters
We’re so excited to have you tune in!
Cady has a degree in English Literature and Middle School Language Arts Education. She works as an 8th grade English and Creative Writing teacher and also coaches her school’s Speech & Debate and Drama teams. She enjoys reading and writing (surprised?) and spending time outdoors. She has traveled extensively within the United States and seven other countries, drawn to stories wherever they may be found. Her dog, Fletcher, is outrageously spoiled.
Landen met Cady when they were both working as librarians in their Missouri hometown. He is a writer and game enthusiast who loves to find and share fantastic stories – especially those with a touch of fantasy. When he is not writing, he’s exploring a new activity such as archery or axe throwing.
About Under-Studies
Bringing historical figures and fictional characters from the sidelines to the spotlight.
Under-Studies is a podcast about characters and figures that tend to be thought of as “side characters.” We’re aiming to give them the extra attention they deserve. Of course, these characters and figures can be considered the star of the show for certain stories or scholars, but we’re taking a look at them as they have come to be known in a wide audience.
Are we the top experts on these stories and cultures? No. But we recognize that each reader comes with a fresh perspective and we hope to create a jumping-off point for building interest or future study. Think of us as your stage-hands, pulling back the curtain and calling these characters to center stage for a little time in the limelight.
